Why Did The HRT Formula One Team Fail?

HRT, The Hispania Formula One Team (Or As Christian Horner Calls Them "The Hormone Replacement Team") Started Out In Formula One In 2010. Did They Have Much Success Before Their Downfall?
Well... Unfortunately not. HRT's best result in 2012 was 15th. That's right they were literally pointless. Maybe the race pace was just bad? Nope. HRT had their best qualifying in the same year of just 20th. Now, this would be relatively impressive for a new team if the grid was made up of 50 cars or so but... The truth hurts and there were only 24 cars which means that the Hispania based team were just slow.
Despite one of their drivers Pedro de la Rosa stating that the team was "Professional", It's important to recognise that this was the response not about the pace of the team, Instead it was safety concerns.
HRT experienced two brake failures, yes two! As well as a hydraulics problem in Korea and Abu Dhabi.
It was clear that the team underestimated the challenge and cost of Formula One which would lead to their downfall which has dissuaded other new teams from joining the sport since with the exception being Haas F1 Team.
